Accent any nautical theme spaces with this
classic solid brass porthole timepiece set inside a very well built teak
steering wheel. Wheel is 1-3/4 inches thick solid wood with approximately 3
inch long handles. Circular rim measures approximately 17 inches in
diameter. Beautiful satin finish preserves and accents this extraordinary
wood; not too shiny, just right. While new, there will inherently be
variations in wood grains & colorations from wheel shown. Casing measures
approximately 9 inches diameter across back side and is a polished solid
brass housing. Quartz battery operated clock and a red sweeping second hand.
Runs on one AA battery (not included). The front glass cover is beautiful
thick beveled glass, making it easier to read from across a room. The clock
face is 5-1/2 inches diameter and the depth including the real working
porthole hinged clamps is 3-1/2 inches deep. Overall distance peg to peg on
this gorgeous wheel is 24 inches across. Porthole opens easily to expose
clock mechanism and/or replace battery. This would be a very distinguishing
gift for someone's den or study. Mounts easily. Classic. Great value.
