BRAND NEW SOLID BRASS SPYGLASS WITH LACQUER IN

ANTIQUE ~ Awesome piece!
Spyglasses as this were one of the essentials of seafaring
life; introduced after Galileo's astronomical telescopes by the middle of
the 18th century. This terrific 10x power, old-world-like telescope measures almost
14" long x 1-3/8" wide, and weighs about 2 pounds including box. Has
excellent viewing quality and smooth movement. Solid wood box measures
8-3/8" x 4" x 3" tall with a solid brass 2" anchor atop and all four corners
with solid brass accents. Interior of box is black felt
contoured perfectly for the collapsed spyglass. You can't miss with this as
a special gift for the executive, nautical person or collector in home or
office. Wrapped in fine leather and disassembles for cleaning. Very well
made.
